Administrator Training
Someone designated as the u.select administrator will need to be trained on setting up u.select for your campus. The u.select administrator's responsibilities include updating your school's course bank, programs, and customizations in u.select. Its best if this person is someone familiar with the degree audit or programs on campus. It is not recommended that the administrator complete the training until after the interface between your degree audit system and u.select is installed and running on your campus. This will ensure that you can practice what you have learned with the training immediately.
Attendees to the training should include the u.select administrator and a back-up for this person. Schools often also include their technical lead for the project so that he/she is more familiar with how the application works in general.
It is highly recommended that u.select subscribers purchase the u.select implementation package with their subscription. This package on-site training and consulting, as well as additional remote consulting that can be used as needed. The training is geared toward hands-on training, using your schools information, to have u.select up and running by the end of the on-site visit.
Advisor Training
Advisors on your campus should be familiar with how to use u.select so that they are able to use it for advising transfer students.
CollegeSource is currently working on a web-based advisor training that will be available in the future.
