Home page for the PeopleSoft - Transfer Rule extractor

What is PeopleSoft T-Rex?

PeopleSoft T-Rex is an installable web service client program which queries PeopleSoft transfer rules database tables and sends the data to Transferology once a week via Transferology web services.

Once the data has been received by Transferology, it will be transformed into Transferology's transfer rule representation and loaded into Transferology later that night.

T-Rex removes the need for PeopleSoft schools to provide transfer rule flat file import process.


The PeopleSoft T-Rex web service client is a java program which is provided as a downloadable zip file which containing the following:

  • java libraries
  • A shell script and batch file to call the java program
  • An extractor.properties file for configuration
  • Install instructions


School Requirements

PS T-Rex client is installed on a server at your school, however it isn't installed into PeopleSoft.

The server must have java 1.7 or 1.8.

The school's firewall must allow the server to open an https connection to the Transferology web service.

A database user must have select privilege on several PS database tables. We’re working on identifying the list of tables.

If necessary database synonyms, when the PS T-Rex database user isn’t the owning schema of the PS database tables.
